God answers desperate prayers.

Text Mark 10:46-49
And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.
And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me
And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Prayer is a reverent petition made to God.
Reverence is a feeling of profound awe and respect and often love. In other word we should come to the Lord in prayer with utmost respect to the creator of heaven and earth who holds your life in his hands.
Prayer may be categorised as routine and desperate.
Routine prayer may include short and snappy prayer before food, going to bed etc.
Desperate prayers however are petitions of urgent request when there is no other way available. These situations may be life threatening such as in Daniel 2:1-18 and Hezekiah 2 Kings 20:1-6. Please take time to study these passages.
God do answer the prayers of his children and he will answer you.
Jeremiah 33:3, God said call me I will answer you and bible also says his words are forever settled.
In the name that is above every other name the Lord will fulfil the desires of your heart.
In the case of Bartimaeus, he recognised his hour of deliverance and seized it. There is always a time in the life of a man when lifetime opportunity shows up, may God give you the spiritual eyes to see.
In Genesis Abraham was able to recognise his appointed time for his over 25years of prayer, may heaven open your eyes to your time of divine visitation.
Bartimaeus shouted for mercy and his request was granted.
Why don’t you cry out to God that answer prayers now, he will answer you.
Isaiah 59:1-2
Behold, the LORD’S hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:
But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear.
It is impossible for God to hear the cry of a sinner.
Are you a child of God who plays around with sin? Repent, turnaround from your evil ways and commit yourself to holiness.
If you however have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, delay can be dangerous. I’m not trying to frighten you, but no one knows when the Lord will come or when we will leave this world. THERE IS NO REPENTANCE AFTER DEATH.
Accept him now before it’s late.
I pray for everyone reading this message that heaven will meet all your needs, the Lord will harken to your prayers
