THEME: GOD’S WAY NOT YOUR WAY
TEXT: ISAIAH 55:8-9
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.
I always tell our church that sometimes and very often, God’s promotion and breakthrough comes like a test.
When we have a breakthrough in any areas of life we call it testimony. The word testimony includes test, so for every breakthrough you experience there is a test.
In Exodus chapter 2 – 3, Moses went from the palace to a fugitive living in the desert leading sheep, to being a tool in the hands of God and a leader of new nation.
Moses would have taught that at the age of 80 it is over for him.
In 1 Samuel 16, David was contended to be keeping the sheep of the family when he was anointed as king. From that moment, he was running from cave to cave to escape king Saul who was after his life.
Joseph was sold off by his brothers, lied against by his boss’s wife and ended up in prison for doing the right thing.
These people would have taught at one time or the other why are they suffering.
1 peter 5:10
The God of all grace, who called us to His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you have suffered a while, perfect, establish, strengthen, and settle you.
Whatever you are going through, the Lord has not forgotten you, God will settle you.
Romans 8:28
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
ISAIAH 40:28-31
Hast thou not known? hast thou not heard, that the everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth, fainteth not, neither is weary? there is no searching of his understanding.
He giveth power to the faint; and to them that have no might he increaseth strength.
Even the youths shall faint and be weary, and the young men shall utterly fall:
But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
As the Lord lives you will fulfil God’s purpose in your life in the mighty name of Jesus.
Hold on, trust in the Lord, avoid sin and taking a short cut.
Joseph ran away from the temptation of the flesh and David avoided killing Saul when he had the opportunity, WAIT ON THE LORD WITH PRAYER, FASTING AND HARD WORK.
The God that remembered Rachel, Hannah will remember you for good.
You are the next to testify to the goodness of God.
